Cover Boy Ed
Big Ed made the cover of the Potomac Almanac edition covering the Potomac Days Parade and Festival in late October. Ed was sporting his favorite Hawaiian garb as a form of protest for being made to stand out in the cold. He was overheard grumbling to Eroe, "I just can't work in these conditions." Upon seeing that he did not make the cover, Eroe wanted to make it clear that the "Hallowed Tradition" headline does not refer specifically to Ed. "While he's old enough to be a tradition, I assure you he's far from hallowed," growled Eroe.

Mitzvah Season
With their 13th year, all(20+) of Ana's Jewish girl friends(and some boys too) are celebrating their Bat and Bar Mitzvahs. And of course that means a girl has to have SEVERAL pretty dresses to rotate through the parties. It's a truism how quickly little girls turn into lovely young ladies. Especially when heels raise them to Dad's altitude!

Sam Returns to the Soccer Pitch
After trying football, Sam returned to the soccer pitch this fall. Sam quickly returned to good form playing a defensive midfield enforcer. Maybe the end of the line for the Clements family football tradition? But, the beginning of a new one.

The New Neigbor
Shortly after moving into our new home, we spotted a very rare albino deer living in the woods behind our house. The deer has become somewhat well known in the area having appeared in the local paper and it has frequently stopped traffic for impromptu photo ops. We considered a sign of good luck for our new home!

Changes III - Our Third Home in a Year
After living for a short time "in town", we moved back a bit closer to the countryside in April. A good mix of privacy and convenience with room for the kids to spread out and a new decorating project for Maria. And for Scott, one word: bigscreen. So banal its scary. Time to move overseas again.

The Hills at Bishops Lodge
After thinking about places from Montana to Italy for a second home site, we've settled on Santa Fe. At this point, its just land, but as you can see the views are spectacular. The lot is located five minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza in The Hills at Bishops Lodge a development on the site of the historic Bishops Lodge adjacent to the Santa Fe National Forest and overlooking the Rio Grande Valley and the Jemez Mountains. We plan to make this a home where our extended family and friends can gather together and enjoy the Southwest.

Santa Fe Vacation
In February, we took a another trip to Santa Fe; this time with the kids. We had a wonderful outdoor vacation visiting historic sites, hiking, skiing, and horseback riding. Santa Fe has a wonderful climate that allowed us to ski in awesome conditions one day and enjoy a temperate horseback ride through the hills south of Santa Fe the next day. We love the combination of the outdoors, the Pueblo culture, and the local arts scene so much that as you'll see we've made a long term commitment to SF.
